Chalk up another half-century for Michael Atherton!

The former England captain, who scored 16 Test centuries and 46 fifties, turned 50 on day two of the first Test in Auckland and received a cake from David Lloyd - as well as a rousing rendition of 'Happy Birthday' - from his fellow commentators in celebration!

Click on the video above to see the moment the team surprised Athers and presented him with an outfield-green cake decorated with pitch, bat, picket fence - and as Kiwi Ian Smith was quick to observe, splattered stumps!

Bumble also had a very special message of congratulation 'from' Athers' nemesis, Australian Glenn McGrath!
