India and South Africa will play the fourth one-day international at Chennai under the control of two home umpires after the International Cricket Council named a replacement for Aleem Dar.

Pakistan-born Dar was withdrawn by the ICC from the ongoing ODI series after a "group of extremists" disrupted proceedings at the Board of Control for Cricket in India offices in Mumbai.

According to an ICC statement on Monday, the extremists were threatening to prevent Dar from officiating in the final two ODIs, and cricket's governing body has now confirmed India's Sundaram Ravi as a replacement.

It means there will be two Indian umpires on the field when the fourth ODI is played on Thursday, a break from ICC regulations which state one of the on-field officials has to be from a neutral country.

An ICC statement read: "Due to the close proximity of fixtures Sundaram Ravi, a member of the elite panel of ICC umpires, had previously been selected for the Pakistan versus England series, but will now stand in the fourth ODI between India and South Africa in Chennai on Thursday.

"Because of exceptional circumstances, both the BCCI and CSA (Cricket South Africa) have agreed that two Indian umpires will stand in this game.

"As a result, there are changes to the Pakistan-England series. Bruce Oxenford and Paul Reiffel will be on the on-field umpires for the second Test which starts in Dubai on Thursday, while Chris Gaffaney has been named as the TV umpire. Oxenford and Gaffaney will stand in the third Test in Sharjah, with Reiffel named as TV umpire.
