Alviro Petersen has strongly denied reports he is under investigation as part of a match-fixing inquiry in South Africa.
Petersen has revealed he reported to anti-corruption officials attempts that were being made to fix games in the South African T20 tournament the Ram Slam.
Reports had claimed the former South Africa Test batsman was being investigated along with two other players as part of the inquiry, claims he has vehemently denied.
Earlier this year, former South Africa player Gulam Bodi was banned for 20 years after admitting charges of contriving or attempting to fix matches in the 2015 Ram Slam.
Petersen wrote on Twitter: "I have seen some media reports about the match fixing scandal and my name was thrown around... here with some #facts about #Bodigate.
"#fact: As far as I'm concerned I'm under no investigation. I confirm that I reported the matter to SACA [South African Cricketer's Association] CEO Tony Irish and ACSU Louis Cole 3 days after I was made aware of the fixing scandal.
"#fact: Under the Anti-Corruption Code, you have to report any knowledge of corruption, and I did that as required by the code.
"I never shy away from scrutiny, but we must be able to apply the same pressure for integrity from some journalists, that is expected of us!"
Petersen, who joined Lancashire last season as a Kolpak player, has been in fine form for the Highveld Lions over the winter. He returns to Old Trafford for a second season this summer.
