England v Pakistan: Story of T20I at Old Trafford
Wednesday 7 September 2016 21:36, UK
Pakistan blunted England's explosive batting line-up in the T20I at Old Trafford, before chasing down 136 in 14.5 overs in an utterly dominant display with the bat.
Click on the video above to watch the best of the action as Pakistan won by nine wickets, with Sharjeel Khan (36 balls) and Khalid Latif (42 balls) both blasting 59 at the top of the order, the latter finishing unbeaten.
That was after Wahab Riaz - a week on from conceding 110 runs as England posted a record ODI score in the third ODI win at Trent Bridge - took 3-18 to star on his return to the Pakistan side.
Iman Wasim (2-17) and Hasan Ali (2-24) also pitched in with two wickets each as England collapsed from a strong showing of 53-0 at the end of their six-over powerplay.
Alex Hales cracked five fours in his 26-ball 37, while Jason Roy (21 off 20) hit England's only six of the innings, but once the pair were out by the end of the ninth over, England managed only three more boundaries.
Jos Buttler (16 off 15), Eoin Morgan (14 off 16), Moeen Ali (13no off 15), and David Willey (12 off 12) all got starts, but failed to kick on and provide the spark the home side's innings desperately needed as they posted only 135-7.
There were no such problems for Pakistan's opening pair as Sharjeel and Latif struck a combined 15 fours and five sixes, both bringing up their fifties with a maximum.
