England have been assured that the fifth and final Test with India will be played in Chennai, following reports it may be moved.

A seven-day period of mourning has been announced in the area following the death of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa Jayaram.

That appeared to put the Chennai match in doubt, but India's cricket board, the BCCI, has now told the ECB that the match will not be moved.

The fourth Test begins on Thursday in Mumbai, with the finale starting a week on Saturday in Chennai.

England, 2-0 down in the series, must win both matches to draw the series.
