The Professional Cricketers' Association has re-elected Glamorgan wicketkeeper Mark Wallace as chairman.

The 33-year-old will serve a second term following the PCA's annual general meeting in Birmingham on Tuesday, where PCA chief executive Angus Porter praised his impact.

"Mark Wallace is a really good chairman for the PCA," he said.

"When Vikram Solanki stood down we thought he would be a tough act to follow, and indeed he was. But Mark has been brilliant.

"He is fully engaged; he is always available and he offers a pretty clear steer on what he wants - which is all that anybody within an organisation like this can ask for.

"Of course, while all this was going on, he achieved an unbroken run of four-day appearances for Glamorgan of 215 games - which is an extraordinary achievement for any player, let alone a wicketkeeper."

Wallace said: "Being PCA chairman is a great job - I've really enjoyed doing it. The first term has been fantastic, and to have another two years is great.
