South Africa batsman Rilee Rossouw has been fined 50 percent of his match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct against Bangladesh on Sunday.

Match referee David Boon deemed Rossouw to have made “inappropriate and deliberate physical contact” with his shoulder against Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal after being dismissed during the second one-day international in Dhaka.

The 25-year-old accepted the penalty without a formal hearing after pleading guilty to the charge.

"Rilee was very mature in discussions relating to the charge," Boon said. "He felt it was inappropriate, but not deliberate, an explanation to which I agree.

"However, there is no place for any form of physical contact in our game and such actions should be punished.”

Bangladesh won the match by seven wickets to level the series at 1-1 ahead of the deciding match on Wednesday in Chittagong.
