Dinesh Chandimal and Ishant Sharma have been hit with suspensions by the International Cricket Council after an ill-tempered third Test between India and Sri Lanka.
The pair have both been banned for one match, while Sri Lanka duo Lahiru Thirimanne and Dhammika Prasad were fined.
The quartet were sanctioned by match referee Andy Pycroft after India sealed a 117-run win in Colombo.
Sri Lanka batsman Chandimal will miss his side's next one-day international against West Indies on November 1 after making "inappropriate and deliberate physical contact" with India seamer Ishant.
Thirimanne was fined 50 per cent of his match fee for twice ignoring the umpires' warning not to get involved in the row between Ishant and Prasad, who was also fined half his match fee.
Ishant was charged over giving an unnecessary send off to Upul Tharanga in Sri Lanka's second innings.
He will miss his side's next Test against South Africa having been on notice after twice being charged for the same offence in the second Test against the Sri Lankans.
Pycroft said: "Monday's incidents were not good advertisements for international cricket.
"These experienced cricketers forgot their fundamental responsibilities of respecting their opponents as well as the umpires, and got involved in incidents which were clearly against the spirit of the game.
"Their actions cannot be condoned and must be discouraged."
India sealed their first away Test series win in Sri Lanka by bowling the hosts out for 268 on Tuesday.
