Ben Duckett continued his sparkling form with a 56-ball 70 to help Northamptonshire Steelbacks to the brink of qualification for the quarter-finals of the Royal London One-Day Cup.

Duckett - whose recent scores have included totals of 163 and 220 for England Lions and 86 for Northants against Worcestershire in the One-Day Cup - hammered 10 fours and two sixes as Steelbacks trumped Derbyshire Falcons' 272-7 in 42 overs for the loss of just three wickets.

Josh Cobb (88) and Rob Keogh (63no) also pocketed half-centuries to ensure Derbyshire opener Ben Slater's List A best 148 not out from 159 balls came in vain - Slater standing firm for the visitors while seamer Richard Gleeson (4-66) ripped through his side's middle order.

Northants' healthy run rate should see them into the last eight, while top-of-the-table Yorkshire Vikings are also poised qualify despite losing to Durham by 15 runs at Emirates Riverside.

Liam Dawson (100no) cracked a 68-ball ton for Hampshire - the all-rounder's six off the final ball of the innings securing his second List A hundred - as the visitors thrashed Glamorgan by 136 runs in Cardiff.

The right-hander moved from 70 to his century in just seven deliveries, blasting four sixes in that time, to help his side rack up 84 runs from the last six overs and post 316-6 - Ryan McLaren (33 off 17) supporting Dawson after Will Smith had carded a patient 84 earlier in the innings.

Glamorgan were then skittled for 130 in 32 overs, the Welsh county tumbling to 29-6 and 94-9 before Craig Meschede (45) lifted them into three figures during an innings in which Hampshire seamers Gareth Berg (4-25) and McLaren (3-41) shared seven wickets.

Tom Fell's unbeaten 116 - his maiden List A century and first in any form since being given the all-clear in his battle with testicular cancer - helped Worcestershire beat Lancashire Lightning by four wickets.

Nottinghamshire tail-ender Luke Wood's 31-ball 52 came in a losing cause as the Outlaws lost to Leicestershire Foxes by eight runs at Grace Road - Wood bowled by Cameron Delport in the final over as Notts mustered just four of the 13 runs required.
