Leicestershire were bowled out for 135 by Sussex in Division Two of the Specsavers County Championship on a day in which 17 wickets fell.
Steve Magoffin took 5-50 and Jofra Archer 4-31 as Sussex skittled out their hosts at Grace Road cheaply - Neil Dexter providing the only resistance with 52.
Dexter then followed that up with a fine effort of 5-41 with the ball, reducing Sussex to 186-7 by the close of play after opener Chris Nash struck 62 to get the visitors off to a strong start.
Craig Miles and Matt Taylor shared four wickets each as Gloucestershire bowled out Glamorgan for 220 on day one in Cardiff, despite Nicholas Selman hitting 101 for the hosts.
Miles took 4-44, while Taylor took 4-56 - including the vital strike of Selman soon after his century - as Glamorgan collapsed from 137-3.
Gloucestershire then lost three wickets themselves before stumps, closing 62-3 with George Hankins (10no) and Hamish Marshall (11no) at the crease.
Matt Coles smashed a 41-ball fifty to lift Kent to 230 all out on day one of their clash with Northamptonshire.
Kent were reeling on 146-7 when Coles (52 off 46) came to the crease, despite earlier fifties too for Sean Dickson (62) and Will Gidman (51).
Northamptonshire's openers Ben Duckett (19no) and Rob Newton (8no) came through the final 11 overs of play unscathed; the visitors closing on 31-0 in reply.
