Pace bowler Keith Barker is one of four Warwickshire players to have committed their futures to the county.

Barker joins leg-spinner Josh Poysden, batsman Andy Umeed and all-rounder Aaron Thomason in signing a new contract at Edgbaston.

The left-armer, who has taken 28 first-class wickets this season, joined Warwickshire in 2008 and was awarded his county cap two year ago - he has signed a three-year deal.

Poysden was awarded his first professional contract earlier this year after an impressive trial, while Umeed and Thomason have signed their first deals after moving up from the Academy.

Warwickshire's director of cricket Dougie Brown said: “All four players have a big role to play for the club.

“Keith has developed into one of the most feared bowlers in county cricket since joining Warwickshire, and he has played an instrumental role in our LV= County Championship campaign.

"He has also made several match-winning contributions with the bat and securing a player of his calibre is a great boost to all at Edgbaston.
