Sussex have secured the signing of Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan for the first half of the 2018 T20 Blast.

The 19-year-old is the No 2 ranked bowler in T20 cricket and after finishing this year's Big Bash League as the joint leading wicket-taker, Sunrisers Hyderabad paid almost £1m to retain his services at the IPL auction.

Khan played under new Sussex head coach Jason Gillespie at the Adelaide Strikers during the side's successful BBL campaign and says he is looking forward to working with the former Australia fast bowler again at Hove.
