Alfonso Thomas moves to Sussex on loan from Somerset

Sussex have signed seamer Alfonso Thomas on loan from Somerset ahead of their Royal London One-Day Cup campaign.
The 38-year-old South African will be available for Sussex for the 50-over tournament for the next month.
Sussex turned to the experienced Thomas to boost their bowling options as they have four frontline seamers unavailable through injury.
Thomas has taken 216 wickets in 164 List A matches and also has 263 T20 wickets to his name.
He is set to make his Sussex debut in Sunday’s Royal London One-Day Cup match against Lancashire at Horsham.
Somerset director of cricket Matt Maynard said: “Alfonso isn’t likely to feature for us in the Royal London One-Day Cup but we want to make sure that he is in the best possible condition for our run-in in the LV= County Championship.
"He is an integral part of our four-day squad and his experience and expertise will be vital for us in the last five Championship matches.
"He will play a major part in where we finish in the table and this is why we want him to be playing competitive cricket over the next few weeks.”
