Steven Finn is looking forward to the start of the new County Championship season with Middlesex as he returns from injury.
Finn missed the World Twenty20 with a calf problem, but is set to feature for his county side over the opening weeks of the season.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Thursday, Finn said: "I'm good to go. I've had a good four or five weeks of pre-season now with Middlesex over in Cape Town and now here in England."
The 27-year-old last played for England in the third Test against South Africa in January, before picking up a side strain.
Middlesex begin their County Championship season against Warwickshire at Lord's on April 17.
"We are in a really strong position, but last year we said we wanted to better our performances from the year before and we didn't look too far into the future," Finn said.
"I think if we put good performances together we have the players that are able to challenge for the Championship title, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves."
Finn is one of a number of England players who will be in County Championship action over the opening matches of the season.
The fast bowler said: "It's important that first and foremost these guys come back and play county cricket because it is good for the game.
"As England players I know all of the guys enjoy going back and playing for their counties and it is where most of them have grown up and plied their trade for a number of years."
Finn admitted that he had sympathy for England team-mate Ben Stokes after his final over in the World Twenty20 final against the West Indies.
"Watching it you are just gutted for him. It was almost written in the stars that Brathwaite was going to hit those four balls for six," he said.
"I was sat on my sofa totally distraught for him and all the other guys out there because they have put in a great shift throughout the World Cup."
