Riki Wessels posted his best one-day score to help Nottinghamshire maintain their unbeaten record in the Royal London One-Day Cup with a 49 run win over Middlesex at Lord’s.

Notts sealed a place in the knockout stages after Wessels made 132 from 118 deliveries as the Outlaws posted 295-9.

Steven Mullaney and Luke Fletcher also added some lustre to the Outlaws' innings, sharing an eighth-wicket stand of 63 before both fell in the final over.

Ollie Rayner returned career best figures of four for 35 for the home side and Gurjit Sandhu ended with 3-64.

Middlesex were then bowled out for 246 as the Outlaws won with 12 balls to spare.

Sam Robson top scored with 88 but he had little support as Imran Tahir and Samit Patel took three wickets each.

The win sees Notts remain top of Group B while Middlesex remain in sixth place.
