The Leicestershire trio of Atif Sheikh, Lewis Hill and Aadil Ali have agreed contract extensions at Grace Road.

Paceman Sheikh, who took three wickets in Glamorgan’s first innings in their opening Division Two match of the season, has agreed an additional year to his current two-year deal.

Batsman Ali has signed a two-year extension to his contract, so both he and Sheikh will be staying at Grace Road until at least the end of the 2017 season.

Wicket-keeper/batsman Hill impressed in the all-conquering second XI last year and has signed a one-year extension that takes him through to the end of next season.

Leicestershire chief executive Wasim Khan said: “Atif, Lewis and Aadil are all young players with a lot of talent and potential and we are delighted that they have extended their contracts with us.
