England went into the 2015 Ashes as underdogs - but emerged with the little urn back in their grasp.

Alastair Cook's men beat the Baggy Greens 3-2 in a five-match series that lasted just 18 days - but what an 18 days they were, with Joe Root, Stuart Broad and a whole lot more coming to the fore.

Our special show, which you can watch On Demand and by signing in to this video, charts England's victory and features input from our pundits, players and a chat with Cook himself.

There were many memorable moments during the series but here are a few that standout as Cook bounced back from Ashes despair in Australia 18 months previously…

Root hits ton after Haddin drop

England vice-captain Root was dropped on nought by Brad Haddin in the opening Test in Cardiff - a chance that, if taken, would have seen the home team slip to 42-4 - before going on to score a century as Cook's boys took a 1-0 lead in the series, Root the man with the match-winning catch.

Finn returns in style

Two years after his last Test, seamer Steve Finn was recalled and responded with 8-117 in the third Test at Edgbaston, including 6-79 in Australia's second innings. Those heroics helped steer England to a three-day win, just what they needed after being undone by Mitchell Johnson at Lord's.

Broad blows Aussies away

Stuart Broad celebrates another wicket at Trent Bridge

It was a case of 'no Jimmy Anderson, no problem' for England as his great mate Stuart Broad produced a startling spell of seam bowling on the first morning of the fourth Test, taking 8-15 in 9.3 overs as Australia were dismissed for a paltry 60 before lunch had been served at Trent Bridge.

Mark Wood was thrilled to be the man to get the winning wicket in the fourth Test

Having taken a ludicrous one-handed claw catch in Australia's first innings - and caused Broad to pull the now iconic 'Oh My Broad' face - Stokes' 6-36 in Australia's second dig put England on the cusp of Ashes glory, before county colleague, Mark Wood, castled Nathan Lyon to regain the urn.

Watch to see if Ian Ward is interviewing Sky Sports' Bob Willis or England batsman Joe Root?

England's Ashes party went long into the night - and the next morning, too, I would imagine - but the Sky Sports cameras caught the early stages as the players carried out a lap of honour, Root did his best Bob Willis impression, and Sky Sports' Ian Ward was doused in champagne!
