Stuart Broad 8-15 and Joe Root century inspire England in 2015

England are back at Trent Bridge for this week's second Test against South Africa, aiming to recreate the memorable day's play that stunned Australia at the same venue in the 2015 Ashes.
Stuart Broad produced one of the spells of his career so far before Joe Root, now England captain, struck his eighth century as England dominated the opening day of the fourth Test in Nottingham.
All-rounder Broad dismantled the tourists to shoot Australia out for just 60 in 18.3 overs before Root rammed home England's advantage with a splendid ton. At stumps, England were 274-4 - a lead of 214 - with Root unbeaten on 124. It couldn't happen again, could it?

Broad wasted little time in getting among the wickets - removing Chris Rogers with his third ball to reach 300 Test victims. Steve Smith also went in Broad's first over and the procession continued as Mark Wood, recalled to the side in place of the injured James Anderson, found the inside edge of David Warner's bat.
Only two Australian batsmen - Michael Clarke (10) and Mitchell Johnson (13) - made double figures as England's rampage continued before they were bowled out for just 60 in 18.3 overs, with extras (14) top-scoring.
Broad's career-best figures took him level with Fred Trueman on 307 Test wickets.
England lost Adam Lyth (14) and Ian Bell (one) cheaply to Mitchell Starc in reply but Root hit five boundaries in his opening 22 deliveries to keep the board ticking over.
Alastair Cook survived a sharp chance to Steve Smith at slip on 29 before registering his 2,000th Test run against Australia but could not push on to fifty - trapped lbw by Starc for 43.
From then on it was the Root and Bairstow (74) show - the pair posting their 150 stand of 180 balls after the former reached his century off 128 deliveries.
