Fudadin and Samuels available for Lions match

The touring West Indies side remain one man short of a full squad ahead of their final warm-up fixture with England Lions, which starts on Thursday. Assad Fudadin and Marlon Samuels have joined the party and are available if needed for the match in Northampton but Narsingh Deonarine is still waiting in Jamaica for clearance to fly. The all-rounder was expected to accompany Fudadin, who experienced similar visa delays, but he was able to fly on Tuesday night. Asked why Deonarine was still delayed, a team spokesman said: "It's the same issues, processing. Once the process is finished, he'll be on the flight."

Rain

The West Indies have been hampered by wet weather since arriving and were again restricted to indoor practice on Wednesday. But they were able to report that batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who needed treatment to a bruised hand against Sussex, and pace bowler Fidel Edwards, who missed the match with a back problem, are fit to face the Lions. The spokesman said: "The issues with Shivnarine Chanderpaul were a little exaggerated and we'll continue to monitor Fidel (Edwards). Everyone is available for selection."
