Thursday 8 October 2015 17:53, UK
India and South Africa's third and final T20I was abandoned without a ball being bowled following heavy rain in Kolkata
South Africa had already secured the series after six and seven-wicket victories respectively in Dharamsala and Cuttack but inclement weather denied the tourists the chance of a clean sweep.
Proteas batsman JP Duminy was named Man of the Series after scoring a match-winning 68 not out in the opening game and notching an unbeaten 30 on Monday in a contest marred by crowd trouble.
South Africa will now face India in five one-day internationals, with the first in Kanpur on Sunday, before battling the hosts in four Test matches.
Faf du Plessis captained South Africa in the T20Is but will hand over the reins to AB de Villiers for the one-dayers as the visitors welcome seamers Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel back into their squad.
Sky Sports' live coverage of South Africa's tour of India continues with the opening ODI from 4.15am, Sunday, Sky Sports 2. You can also follow text commentary on skysports.com.
