MIke Hesson extends contract with New Zealand

New Zealand cricket coach Mike Hesson has signed a new deal which will keep him in charge of the Black Caps until after the 2019 World Cup.
Hesson, whose current contract was due to expire next year, has led the Kiwis to unprecedented feats since succeeding John Wright in July 2012.
Their most significant achievement was reaching their first ever World Cup final last year, while they reached the semi-finals at the ICC World Twenty20 a couple of months ago.
Batting coach Craig McMillan, manager Mike Sandle and strength and conditioning coach Chris Donaldson have followed the 41-year-old's lead by also signing new contracts.
New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White said: "Mike's the most successful coach in New Zealand cricket history and, in my opinion, the best selector we've ever had.
"To have him committed to the Black Caps until after the next World Cup is great news for all concerned."
Hesson, whose side top the Twenty20 rankings and are placed second in one-day internationals and fifth in Tests, added: "Being around a group which works together and is striving to head in the same direction is extremely rewarding.
"It's a privilege to be a part of the Black Caps culture and I feel lucky to be able to contribute to that for a little bit longer."
