Sean Ervine is set to make an international comeback after being named in Zimbabwe's 30-man preliminary squad for the 2011 World Cup.
Ervine, 28, last played for his country in 2004 before being one of 14 senior players involved in a dispute with the Zimbabwe Cricket Board.
He has played county cricket for Hampshire for most of the intervening period but briefly returned to Zimbabwe last Febraury to take part in their domestic T20 tournament.
Ervine is joined on the squad by younger brother Craig, Zimbabwe's top batsman on the recent tour of Bangladesh where they lost the series 3-1.
The includes two uncapped players in 19-year-old leg-spinner Natsai Mushangwe and 21-year-old pace bowler Njabulo Ncube.
Also included and hoping to revive their international careers are wicketkeeper-batsman Tino Mawoyo and former captain Terry Duffin, who last played for the national side in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
