Somerset all-rounder Peter Trego is unhappy at not being handed an England call of some sort after his superb season last year.
Trego, 26, was the top English all-rounder in the county championship last season, scoring 814 runs at an average of 54.26 and taking 31 wickets at 34.83.
Despite his performances, Trego was overlooked by the England selectors for all of the winter tours and the academy.
Trego has hit out at the selectors for his omission, and believes that he may have even been overlooked because of the county he plays for.
"It's very frustrating not to be selected especially after what I achieved last season, when I was the leading English all-rounder on the circuit," Trego told the
Somerset County Gazette.
"Others who have got the nod in front of me have, statistically, not done nearly as much."

"Playing for Somerset you sometimes get the feeling you have to do twice as well as anybody else before you get picked.
"I thought 60 wickets in all cricket and 1,200 runs was more than enough to get at least a place at the academy or a place on one of the tours.
"But they are picking batsmen with the same batting stats as me and no bowling, and bowlers with the same bowling stats but no batting record which is very frustrating."
Trego did speak to the ECB and has had some positive feedback, and he aims to prove himself by repeating his form in Division One of the county championship this year.
"I had some contact from the ECB telling me I was close to a selection and that if I repeat my achievements this season I might get a chance, possibly in the full international side," he added.
"I've just got to strive for bigger and better performances for Somerset this year, which will force the selectors to pick me."
