Out-of-favour paceman completes Gloucestershire switch
Nottinghamshire seamer AJ Harris has joined Gloucestershire on loan until the end of the season and is expected to play make his debut against Glamorgan in the Twenty20 Cup.
Harris, 34, has struggled to force his way into the Notts attack on a regular basis having helped the Outlaws to Championship glory in 2005.
The recent arrivals of England seamer Stuart Broad, Australian Darren Pattinson and Kiwi Andre Adams have seen Harris slip further down the pecking order at Trent Bridge.
Beneficial
And as a result, director of cricket Mike Newell has allowed the former England 'A' bowler to move away from the East Midlands on a temporary basis.
"Gloucestershire have given AJ the opportunity to play first team cricket which will be far more beneficial to him than playing for our second XI," Newell told the
club's official website.
"We have strength in depth in our bowling unit and the signing of Andre Adams and the emergence of Darren Pattinson has meant that AJ could find first team opportunities limited at Trent Bridge this season."
