Aussies in a spin after injury blow

Australia have suffered a setback after it was confirmed that leg-spinner Bryce McGain will not feature in the upcoming Test series with India due to a shoulder injury. The 36-year-old failed to recover from the injury he suffered during last month's Australia 'A' tour of India, dealing a blow to the tourists' inexperienced spin attack. Cricket Australia confirmed that a replacement for McGain has yet to be decided, although it is unlikely that Andrew Symonds will be recalled. "A decision on a potential replacement player for McGain would be taken in due course," the statement said. McGain had been included in the absence of seasoned spinners. Off-break bowler Jason Krejza is the other specialist spinner in the squad. The first of the four Tests starts in Bangalore on October 9 live on Sky Sports 1.
