Former Australian international throws his hat into the ring for vacancy
Former Australia and Yorkshire batsman Darren Lehmann has admitted that he is interested in becoming England's next coach.
The 38-year-old worked with Australia's academy side last year and has already signed a deal to coach the Deccan Chargers in the IPL.
However, the chance to coach at the very highest level would be something Lehmann admits would be too good to turn down.
The England and Wales Cricket Board are searching for a new man to lead the national team following the sacking of Peter Moores this week.

"Yes, I'm interested," Lehmann told
The Sun-Herald newspaper. "It's something I would definitely consider.
"You would never knock back an opportunity like that.
"I'm working with second-stringers at the moment and anyone would want to work with players at that international level.
"I'll talk to them if they want to talk to me."
Lehmann scored over 25,000 first-class runs during his career and was a popular figure at Headingley during his time with Yorkshire, which included a spell as captain.
He is not the first Australian to be linked with the England job. Compatriots Shane Warne and Tom Moody have been mentioned as possible candidates.
The ECB intend to have a coach in place for the start of a busy summer that includes an Ashes series on home soil and the ICC World Twenty20 Cup.
