All-rounder contrite over Twitter incident

England all-rounder Tim Bresnan has apologised to team bosses for swearing at a fellow Twitter user. Bresnan, 24, produced an expletive-laden response to a mocked-up image which made him look overweight. "If you are an England player you have obviously got to behave in a certain way," said England team director Andy Flower. "It is pretty simple if you are on a public site like that - you have to behave yourself." Bresnan began using the website just three days ago and had been involved in some mickey taking with England team-mates Graeme Swann and James Anderson, also keen tweeters, prior to his tirade. Flower added: "Tim has apologised, it's not the end of the world, and we have a semi-final tomorrow." Yorkshire's Bresnan could replace Stuart Broad in England's line-up for the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final against Australia at Centurion on Friday. Broad is struggling with a torn buttock muscle and faces a fitness test on the morning of the match.
