England paceman on the way back from injury

Chris Tremlett has returned to training after more than three months on the sidelines with a back injury. The Surrey and England seamer was ruled out of the second half of the Test series with India but was back in the nets earlier in the week at the Kia Oval. Tremlett is one of four centrally-contracted players who will step up their preparation for the Test series against Pakistan by joining England's Performance Programme in South Africa next month. "It was frustrating to miss out on the last few Test matches but now I'm just looking ahead, trying to be positive, to next year," Tremlett said. "I've had two or three months rest or recuperation. It's been a bit tedious, the training I've had to do. I've had to rehab my back so I've gone in stages and built up my training each couple of weeks really. "I'm at that stage now where I've been running for the last month and my strength work's gone up and I'm now starting to bowl."
