European Darts Championship first-round draw

Michael van Gerwen’s bid for a third consecutive European Championship will begin against Simon Whitlock.
The £44,000 tournament in Belgium kicks off on October 28 with Van Gerwen, winner of the previous two events, as the top seed.
The restructured European Championship has seeded players based on performances in the 10 European Tour events - of which Van Gerwen won six - meaning Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson miss out on seedings.
