The visit to Exeter's Westpoint Arena includes the repeat of the 2015 World Championship final between Gary Anderson and Phil Taylor, live on Sky Sports 1.
Anderson won his first title of 2017 by defeating Peter Wright 6-1 in the final of Players Championship Two at the weekend and will now be eager for maximum points over six-time Premier League champion, Taylor.
'The Power' is currently sitting in second spot and still undefeated after the first four weeks of the tournament, while 'The Flying Scotsman' is sitting just outside the top four.
"I'm aiming to qualify for the Play-Offs and every game is a chance to get points for that," Taylor told the official PDC website. "It's a great fixture against Gary and it will be a good game.
"Gary's a brilliant player, a two-time World Champion and he's a cracker. I've got to step it up because I wasn't quite on song last week."
Chizzy opens against Raymond van Barneveld desperate for a win which would lift him off the bottom of the table and he will have a chance to gather some momentum in a second match of the evening when he takes MVG's place against James Wade .
"It's a shame that Michael's injured but I've got to try and make the most of it on Thursday," Chisnall said.
"I've got to see it like one of the nights later in the season when you would play twice anyway, and hopefully I can pick up points in both games. If I have a good night it could be massive for my season."
Adrian Lewis takes on Peter Wright buoyed by his impressive display against Van Gerwen in Brighton, last week.
And Jelle Klaasen meets his good friend Kim Huybrechts in the other important clash at what will be an expectant Westpoint Arena.
"I just want to get some points and try to win every match, but it's difficult to play a friend so it's going to be a tough game," said Klaasen.
"It is a big game but I don't think about it that much because I've already played the top three in the world and Kim still has to play all of them. If he wins and goes above me, he still has some tough opponents."
