Martin Adams says he does not wish he took part in the Grand Slam of Darts earlier, despite his unbeaten start.

Martin 'Wolfie' Adams had no regrets about not entering the Grand Slam sooner, despite his flying start to this year's tournament.

The three-time Lakeside champion repeatedly turned down invitations to the major event until this year and has made an impressive debut appearance, progressing from his group in top spot with three straight wins.

But the 59-year-old old former England captain is glad he stuck to his principles, staying loyal to the BDO organisation, who finally gave him permission to appear in Wolverhampton.

"I don't regret any decisions I've made," Adams told Sky Sports. "I'm comfortable. Anything I win now, I look at as a bonus."
