The World Darts Championship's Sid Waddell trophy is back in the hands of Gary Anderson, the doors on the Ally Pally are closed, and that means only one thing - Premier League Darts is just around the corner!

PDC Chairman Barry Hearn announced the 10 names of the players that will compete in this year's 10-week league for the £700,000 worth of prize-money after Sunday's World Champs final.

As the terrific 10 travel up and down the country and the top eight make the Premier League's first trip to the Netherlands - Sky Sports will be with them all the way, showing every arrow live.

A quartet of world champions took the four automatic spots with reigning Premier League holder Gary Anderson, who defeated Michael van Gerwen in the 2015 final, again joining his Dutch rival in the field. Adrian Lewis and Phil Taylor also make the event .

Raymond van Barneveld, who enjoyed a terrific return to form at the World Championship, is joined by last year's Premier League semi-finalist Dave Chisnall as Sky Sports Wildcard selections.

Robert Thornton, James Wade, Peter Wright and debutant Michael Smith complete the field, with the season set to begin on Thursday February 4 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
