Michael van Gerwen defeats Vincent van der Voort 6-0

Michael van Gerwen thrashed his close friend Vincent van der Voort 6-0 at the European Darts Open on Saturday.

The world No 1, who won last week's Austrian Darts Open, blitzed past his Dutch compatriot in the competition's second round as he continued his bid for a fourth European Tour title of 2017.

Peter 'Snakebite' Wright, who has also won three European Tour titles this year, beat Robbie Green 6-1.
