Jim Bowen died at the age of 80 on Wednesday and the boys paid tribute to the TV legend

Wayne Mardle, John Part and host Dave Clark paid tribute to TV legend Jim Bowen, who was best known for hosting darts-based game show Bullseye in the 1980s and '90s.

He became a household name when he began presenting Bullseye in 1981. The Sunday tea time show ran for 14 years and Wayne 'Hawaii 501' Mardle said he watched it religiously before being told to go for his bath by his mum.

That show and Jim Bowen has done wonders for the game of darts.

Bowen became known for catchphrases including "Super, smashing, great", "You can't beat a bit of Bully!" and "Let's look at what you could have won". It attracted a peak audience of almost 19m viewers on Boxing Day 1989.
