Sky F1 pundit Martin Brundle is "cautiously optimistic" for Formula 1's future under the control of new owners Liberty Media.
The US firm acquired the sport in a £6bn deal last week, with chairman Chase Carey insisting they wanted to make the sport "everything it can be".
Bernie Ecclestone will stay on in his current role as chief executive in a transitional period for the next three years and with several ideas for improving F1 being put forward, Brundle hopes the sport is in the right hands.
"It''s going to be very interesting to see who's going to be the go-to person in F1," he said ahead of Singpaore GP practice. "Will it be Bernie Ecclestone still, or will it be Chase Carey of Liberty Media?"
"I'm cautiously optimistic about the whole idea. I like the idea that it's a media company that hopefully will have a longer term view on where we're heading in Formula 1."
Many of the 22 current F1 drivers had their say on how their sport can change and evolve, with Jenson Button admitting they must bring in a younger audience.
Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, added: "I hope they put some fresh blood into it and come up with some good ideas and help make this business way bigger than it already is."
