Force India reveal striking new pink livery for 2017 Formula 1 season

Dramatic revision to the VJM10's livery from Australian GP

Force India will race in a striking new pink livery from the start of the 2017 F1 season after signing a major new sponsorship deal.

The Silverstone-based squad revealed the new pink, magenta and silver livery as they confirmed a 'long-term relationship' with Austrian-based water technology firm BWT.

Force India's VJM10 will race in its new colours from next week's season-opening Australian GP.

The radical new matte look replaces the silver, orange and black colour scheme which the car ran with during pre-season testing.

"The arrival of BWT in Formula 1 is huge news and represents one of the most significant partnerships in our 10-year history," said team boss Vijay Mallya.

"It's a sign of how far we have come as a team with our strong results and completes a solid commercial performance over the winter.

"For 2017 our cars will sport a vibrant new colour scheme with a smart matte finish. Changing the colour of our cars is an indication of the strength of this new partnership and a real statement of intent from BWT as they begin their relationship with the sport of Formula 1."

Force India finished a best-ever fourth in last year's Constructors' Championship and set the target at their launch last month of challenging the top three teams on a more regular basis in the new season.
