It's TV gold as Sebastian Vettel ambushes Simon Lazenby's interview on Sky F1 in Canada 2016 with race winner Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel may be disputing the 2017 world title this season but at the Canadian GP this time last year their fight was over seagulls, live on Sky F1!

After Hamilton beat his Ferrari rival to victory in Montreal by five seconds, Vettel gatecrashed the Mercedes driver's post-race paddock interview with Simon Lazenby to jokingly point out the race winner was "not braking for animals!"

What followed was TV gold as Vettel insisted he had run wide at Turn One midway through the race while leading due to the presence of two white birds sitting in the middle of the corner. After several failed attempts to track them down, Sky F1's production team came up trumps - much to Vettel's relief and Hamilton's amusement.

"Can you see they stayed there?" insisted Vettel. "That's what really annoyed me. I was doing a hundred and something, and they stay there!"
