George Russell beats Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton to win the Sprint race at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

Verstappen had taken the lead from shock pole-sitter Kevin Magnussen in the early stages of the race but then suffered damage as he was passed by Carlos Sainz for second, allowing Lewis Hamilton to power past and take third place.

As Sainz faces a five-place grid penalty for a new engine at this weekend's race, Hamilton moves up to start alongside his teammate on the front row for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, the Ferrari man dropping to seventh on the grid.

The Sao Paulo Grand Prix will take place on Sunday afternoon and the drivers will duel over 71 laps of the 4.30km Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace.
