Watch the video as an unidentified man runs across the Shanghai circuit midway through Practice Two for the Chinese GP.
To the shock of the Sky F1 commentary team, the man runs across the track just in front of Nico Hulkenberg's Force India before jumping over the pitwall.
According to Sky F1 reporter Ted Kravitz, the gatecrasher was then apprehended by marshals after apparently trying to gain access to the Mercedes garage.
It was later reported that the man had explained he 'wanted to try a car'.
The Chinese GP is live only on Sky Sports F1 this weekend. Don’t miss a minute of our extensive race-day coverage, which begins at 5.30am on Sunday with lights out at 7am. You can also follow all the action on the move with Sky Go.
