Turns 11, 12 and 13 will be changed for this year's race

The Marina Bay Circuit in Singapore will be modified for this year’s race in the hope of improving overtaking on the street circuit.
Changes are being made to turns 11, 12 and 13 in the middle sector to create a better passing opportunity, but the modifications have also been made in part due to "new Civic District enhancement plans".
The chicane at turns 11 and 12 will now begin with a slower right-hand bend set closer to the left-hand side of Fullerton Road, with the following corner also re-aligned so that drivers now use the left-lane of the Anderson Bridge.
This will then alter the line to Turn 13, making it a tighter hairpin. However, the corner will be one metre wider to improve overtaking opportunities.
"It’s a win-win situation that the development of the new arts, culture and lifestyle precinct will provide an upgraded experience, but also potentially make for closer racing at this year’s Singapore GP,” Colin Syn, deputy chairman of Singapore GP Pte Ltd said.
The changes to the track have been ratified by the FIA and are being overseen by Faithful+Gould senior project manager and engineering track manager Jonathan Giesecke.
"It is a fantastic challenge to translate changes to Singapore’s Civic District into improvements to the Marina Bay Street Circuit," he said.
"I expect the modifications from turns 11 to 13 will enable closer racing and the potential for additional passing opportunities."
You can see the Singapore GP exclusively live on Sky Sports F1 on September 18-20.
