The issue was highlighted in Mexico and Brazil where world champion Lewis Hamilton questioned Mercedes' decision to keep him on the same strategy as team-mate Nico Rosberg.

Hamilton felt it cost him the chance of victory at both races, but the Silver Arrows insist that it is the only way to keep things fair.
