Force India deny rumours they will miss the Australian Grand Prix in March

Team say they will definitely be in Melbourne and are planning to test in Barcelona

A new look for Force India

Force India have denied speculation they won't be on the grid in Australia and say they are still planning to attend both Barcelona tests.

The Silverstone-based team are sitting out the opening four days of pre-season testing in Jerez to give them more time to develop the VJM08.

Reports in Germany claimed the team were set to miss the opening race of the season as they had no monocoque for the VJM08, however, the team have strenuously denied the rumours.

"We will definitely be in Melbourne and are still planning to test in Barcelona," a Force India spokesperson told Sky Sports News HQ.

Force India finished sixth in the constructors’ championship in 2014 after a year-long battle with battle with McLaren. The team also returned to the podium for the first time since 2009 when Sergio Perez finished third in Bahrain.

The Sky Sports F1 Online team will be providing live commentary from all four days of testing in Jerez – from dawn on Sunday to dusk on Wednesday. Sky Sports News HQ will also have live updates from trackside.
