Meanwhile, Hamilton is moving closer towards making an amicable departure from McLaren. Almost a month after it was announced that he would be breaking his ties with the team for whom he has driven since boyhood, Hamilton visited McLaren's HQ last week and has made contact with Ron Dennis, the former McLaren team boss who mentored his progression into F1. "I spoke to Ron," confirmed Hamilton. "We are planning to meet up, I think it's in Abu Dhabi. We'll go for a dinner, have a good chat."
