Lewis Hamilton has underlined the continued importance of Ross Brawn to Mercedes and revealed his new boss has reassured him that he's not leaving.
The uncertainty over Brawn's future had been triggered by speculation, which originated in the German press, that Mercedes new motorsport boss Toto Wolff was poised to hire Paddy Lowe from McLaren - an approach to the highly-regarded Technical Director which has since been confirmed by Brawn. Any transfer for Lowe would mark an unexpectedly swift reunion with Hamilton, but the driver himself hinted he viewed the move as unlikely. "It's not my position to really say, but obviously I've had great experiences with Paddy. Great guy," Hamilton added in his interview with Craig Slater. "But I know he's at McLaren, as far as I'm aware, and that's how it is and how it will stay. "I know they've got great people here [at Mercedes] and it's down to me and for the rest of the guys here to utilise them, and get more out of them, because we can all do better. All of us. "So it's about us trying to extract more out of each other."
