Oldham have handed a coaching role to former defender Hasney Aljofree following his forced retirement.

The 32-year-old, forced to retire at the end of last season due to a knee injury, has been appointed assistant coach to the Latics' Under-14 side. The former Bolton, Dundee United and Plymouth full-back spent the final three months of last season at Boundary Park after arriving on a free transfer from Swindon. He also spent a month on loan with the Latics in 2007.
