Frecklington offers rejected, while Torpey leaves
Lincoln City have rejected two offers from Peterborough United for young midfielder Lee Frecklington.
Posh are looking to bolster their promotion bid with a deal for the 22-year-old, who has made over 100 appearances for Lincoln.
Frecklington is under contract at Sincil Bank until 2009 and the Red Imps have acknowledged they will sell for the right place.
But Peterborough's two bids to date have failed to persuade their League Two rivals to do business.
Meanwhile, Lincoln have cancelled the contract of veteran striker Steve Torpey by mutual consent.
Torpey joined the club on a free transfer last summer from Scunthorpe United, but failed to score in 14 appearances.
The 37-year-old has recently been on loan at Farsley Celtic and scored once in six Blue Square Premier appearances.
