Slade hoping for Walker boost

Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade is hoping new signing James Walker can fire his side up the table.

Striker Walker has signed a three-month contract at Brisbane Road after a successful trial spell and made his debut as a substitute in Saturday's narrow defeat by Huddersfield. "He has not had a lot of football but we have taken him now until Christmas and he will work hard to get fully fit," said Slade. "He has always had good feet. I had him at Yeovil. I know all about him. "He is a clever player and can score goals. Hopefully that is the first of many appearances for us."
