JJ looks at the positives

JJ Melligan believes Cheltenham's disappointing 2-0 defeat to Southend last time out may end up being a positive result.
The Robins remain desperate to put last Tuesday's home reverse behind them having seen Saturday's clash against Stockport fall victim to the snow and sub-zero temperatures currently battering Britain. It was the club's first league defeat in seven games and first at Whaddon Road since September and Melligan - hoping to take the place of Josh Low who has been ruled out until the new year with a hamstring injury - feels the woeful display may act as a wake-up call for Town's predominantly young side. "It could end up being the best result we have had all season because we now know teams can come to our place and beat us," the midfielder told the Gloucestershire Echo. "That's the way football goes and I think the writing was on the wall for us. They got lucky with the abandonment and then they had players injured and suspended the next time it should have been played. They were on top from the start, but it was just one game and we've been on a good run. "We have got to make sure we don't play like that again and I think it will be a positive if we react the right way."
