Valiants boss releases duo

Defenders Kris Taylor and Matthew Bell have been released by Port Vale as boss Micky Adams begins reshaping his squad.

But Adams, back at Vale Park following his departure from Sheffield United, has confirmed he is still in talks with Ritchie Sutton and Gary Roberts over new terms. Doug Loft and Adam Yates, who were also out of contract, have already signed new deals while Gareth Owen's future was secured after he accepted a player-coach role upon Adams' return.
