Pitman open to Rose return

Boss Jamie Pitman has not ruled out a return to Hereford for Richard Rose but believes he will not be short of suitors.

Pitman admits not offering the long-serving defender a new contract at Edgar Street was the most difficult as he released seven players last month. He has left the 28-year-old's future open should he find himself in a position to put an offer on the table but feels the experienced former Gillingham man will receive interest from elsewhere ahead of next season. "I've said to Richard if anything materialises here and I'm able to keep him then I'll give him a call," Pitman told the club's official website. "I think someone of his quality will get something somewhere." Pitman added: "The hardest decision was Richard, he's a great lad, a great utility player. It was something that was very difficult for me but something I've had to learn to do. They're not particularly nice things to do but it's part of the job and it's something I've got to get on with."
